UIM WORLD SPEED RECORD CERTIFICATE!

This date who is today (October23) is a date I will always remember.
There is exactly one year ago today ( October 23 2010) I set a World Speed Record in the Circuit class GT-30.

Now the 2011 racing season is over for me.
This has been a season with lots of trouble for me this year.

I have not run many races this year. I have focused on the World Championship and European Championship.

The first race was the 15th May, at Norsjø Akkerhaugen, Norway.
It was a good opening to the season for me. I got a 2nd place overall and 2 heat wins.

Race number two for me was my highlight of the season and also a higlight so far in racing for me.
It was the World Championship for GT-30 in Stewartby, Bedford, England. This was also the World Championship for GT-15 and a round of World Cup series for the F4 this weekend.
We traveled from home 15th June for the ferry from Oslo to Kiel, Germany to then core through Germany, Holland, Belgium and France for the ferry to England.

Then it was time for the self race.
Heat 1 I got a 4th place.
Heat 2 I was in 3rd place, but a buoy blew out of position, so there was a red flag and a restart resulted.
The restart, I got was very bad. There was too little space between the boats at the start, so there was not enough water left for me.
Heat 3, I drove well and moved up many places, but I was unfortunate enough to roll in a turn.
Heat 4, cheated my engine a bit after the roll, but completing the heat gained points for me.

I got a total of 8th place in the World Championship.

Then it was time for the European Championship in Kil, Sweden.
There was also a bad race for me, I had only run a heat.
Round number two in heat 2, I was hit by another driver, and had to retire due to damage to the boat.
I totaled 11th place.

Then it was time for the Drammen Grand Prix.
It was the 20th August.
Here I won heat number one, but the race management team decided to delist the heat to start it again.
In the new first heat was my steering was broken and I had to quit the heat.
But I was able fix it and started the next 2 heats and got a 3th place overall.


Then we come to the last race, it was Norsjø, Akkerhaugen.
You started it in the best possible way for me.
I got a 1st place in Time Trial.
Heat 1 I got a 3rd place.
Heat 2 I got a 3rd place
Heat 3 I received a 2nd place
Heat 4, I received a 2nd place
Heat 5, I got a 2nd place
This led to a 2nd place overall.

I got a 4th place in the Norwegian Cup, after only driving 2 races in the Norwgian cup this year.
